New Drivers

New drivers cannot accumulate 6 points or more in the firstĀ 2 years

"”A new driver’s licence will be revoked if they accumulate 6 penalty points or more within the first two years of passing their test. Do not despair, we can help you.”"
Carl Millar | Head of Road Traffic Department

New motorists are classified as those within the first two years of passing their driving licence. If you acquire six penalty points or more within the first two years of obtaining your licence then your licence will be automatically revoked and you will be required to retake a further driving test.
